Disney Park Hopper

This morning, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger was joined by Disney characters and cast members to officially reopen Disney California Adventure park. With Buena Vista Street and Cars Land complete and open to guests, it was time to celebrate Disney-style! Thousands of guests lined up throughout the night to be among the first to visit the newest areas of the park – see what they had to say in the video below. You’ll also see highlights from the Disney California Adventure Park Grand Opening Ceremony and be on the lookout for aerial shots from the Goodyear Blimp!

For this point-of-view video, a camera was mounted on the driver’s side of a Radiator Springs Racers car during a recent test run in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park. Vehicles are being tested seven days a week, mostly at night. By the time each vehicle is commissioned, it will travel approximately 36,000 miles per year!

The video also shows a quick sneak peek of what to expect inside the mountain range. Guests will get to see the entire track for themselves when the attraction opens on June 15.

03.13.12– Recently released photos show the beauty and detail of the newest lands, attractions, and entertainment coming to Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Starting June 15, guests will enter Disney California Adventure along Buena Vista Street, a place that transports them to an era when Walt Disney arrived in California with new dreams: 1920s Los Angeles. Across the way, Cars Land expands Disney California Adventure by 12 acres and immerses guests in the thrilling world of the Disney•Pixar blockbusterCars. D23 takes a first look at this immense expansion through these stunning new photos:

Buena Vista Street features Red Car Trolleys, inspired by the transportation system that once served Southern California, and the Carthay Circle Theatre, modeled after the site of the 1937 world premiere ofSnow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The peaks of Ornament Valley rise up over the town of Radiator Springs.

Guests will feel as if they have stepped into the town of Radiator Springs as they enjoy three family attractions showcasing characters and settings from the movie.

Cars-themed dining and shopping locations such as Flo’s V8 Cafe, Ramone’s House of Body Art, and Radiator Springs Curios dot the map of historic Route 66.

One of the largest and most elaborate attractions ever created for a Disney park, Radiator Springs Racers is a twisting, turning, high-speed adventure through Ornament Valley and the town of Radiator Springs.
